Guitar Hero Smurf

I was smurfing around with the settings on my camera the other day. It's so fun having a cool digital camera...you can just hit smurf on the pictures that don't pass muster. Not sure where my little guitar playing smurf came from, but he sure is cute. We're going to have to protect him from Gargamel though.

When life gives you an inch of hail...

Make an ice man!

We have a tradition in our house to take what little snow we get in the winter and build a little snowman. He then gets to reside in our garage freezer awaiting the heat of the summer. Once, he was used as ice in a cooler for a camping trip. Another time, we just set him on the deck in the 90+ degree sunlight and timed his meltdown.

This year, we've never gotten enough snow for even a mini mini-man. It looked hopeless. Maybe it was just because we kept letting them melt later. But then the hail hit on Sunday. We ended up with over an inch of hail on the deck. The year was saved! We had enough to make the little guy who now lives in our freezer. Who knows what his future holds.
